About the event
The Moors to Mountains launch event will feature none other than... well, me. I intend to deliver an inspiring and informative presentation to highlight the benefits that walking can bring to people and show off some of the beautiful locations around the UK where I am going to be leading groups this year.
A series of "classic" Lancashire walks has been organised over the coming months, designed to offer a bit of excercise and mental stimulation alongside visiting sites of interest, whether historical and environmental. I'll be talking through these ast the event and there will of course be a chance to book on any walks that take your fancy. There will be the opportunity to have a chat about my private Mountain Leader services and also book on to any of my scheduled walks. As a qualified Mountain Leader, I am available to take small groups on privately guided walks accross the UK. I'll have my diary to hand and am most happy to discuss and accommodate your needs.
To offer a special treat, I have decided to give away A FREE GUIDED WALK as a prize to the winning participant or team in a quiz we will be doing. Brush up on your favourite outdoor locations, landmarks and general walking nerdery.
There will also be live music from my friends Phil Lloyd, Rambling Rob Young, Joey Ludlow and "Squeezebox" Dave.
I am very, very grateful to all at the Bridge for allowing me to use their venue. We often visit with the Bolton walking group on Wednesday nights and it is a fantastic establishment. A nice, spacious Victorian pub, the decor inside is beautiful, there's always a friendly welcome and both the real ales and food is excellent.
Please spread to word to any people you may know who might benefit from getting out on some friendly, accessible walks, or those who might prefer something more adventurous in the mountains.
Cheers, COLIN. www.moorstomountains.co.uk
