About the event

Scafell Pike is England's highest peak, towering over the valleys of Great Moss, Wasdale and Borrowdale.

There are many routes that can be used to climb to the top. Some are quick and easier than others, some are incredibly challenging. However, my personal prefferred way to take clients is from Borrowdale, using the Grains Gill path up to Esk Hause and then crossing the bouldery terrain of Ill Crag to hit Scafell Pike from the north. A descent can then be made via the Corridor Rout and Sty Head Pass. 

This is not the shortest way to do the mountain, but it is a comparatively gradual acent and descent . The main attraction for me is the varied scenery across the course of the walk.
